Whenever Brandon and I work together on something, the results are usually pretty scary. We're not twins, but there's some unspoken communication there that just works.
Every week when I'm doing graphics for church, I try to keep in mind images that I know Brandon has taken. For one, I know he won't charge me royalties (yet). For two, I know I can get the big image files from him and maybe get a couple of related images. And for three, I know they'll be good images because he's got an eye for that sort of thing. If I had more lead time on ideas, I'd try to commission him to take shots specifically for him, but I'm usually throwing something together the night before. I did get his help one Christmas Eve for some pretty specific pictures of hot cocoa, and just this last week, I knew I was needing an image of a roadblock. Brandon's picture came out so well that I didn't even bother scouting out the roadblocks that I knew of. I had to chop out a porta-potty and some sign text, and then crop and resize, but otherwise it was exactly what I needed.
Nothing too fancy, but you try finding a large image of a roadblock on the Internets. Click the picture to see the finished slide.
