Christmas Presents

I think Jonathan really enjoyed his first Christmas.

He got pretty excited without even seeing what's under the wrapping paper:

He caught on to the idea of tearing off the paper pretty naturally:

But after he pulled off a piece, the next place it went was to his mouth:

This gift was a jumper/activity center thing from his Wella and Pops.  He seems to enjoy it pretty well:

He got some books from a friend of mine at work, but when he opened them he was more interested in tasting than reading:

We got him a neat little grasping toy that he likes to hang onto and shake around:

He got a lot of other gifts, but I didn't get pictures of everything.  He'll have plenty of toys to play with for a while.

D40: Behind the Photo (Christmas Card)

January 19, 2009 at 9:00 PMJeremy

By now, everybody should've seen our Christmas card.  (If not, sorry, we must not have had your address.  If you want one, we do have plenty left...Wink)

Anyway, we got plenty of compliments on how good our picture was, especially the one of Jonathan.  Well, it wasn't easy to get.  Here are some of the ones that wound up on the cutting room floor:

It's not exactly easy to get a kid to focus on the camera.

But when Dad is behind the camera, he'll smile.  I probably should've just Photoshopped myself into one of the above (the first one with just Jonathan and Marci is actually the crop I used to get the picture of him alone... notice that his "pretty pose" as everybody said is just him grabbing his foot)

Not sure what excited him off camera, but he looks pretty surprised here:

Not quite as happy when it's just Jon and Dad:

We thought this might make a cute pose.  It didn't work, but his expression is just priceless:
