De Plane! De Plane!

I'd posted earlier about an old Air Force plane that buzzed around our house a few times.  Well, it came back by Sunday afternoon, and I had time to grab my telephoto zoom and get some pretty good shots of it.

A quick Google on the tail number gave me a clue as to identifying it; I even found a picture of this very plane.  According to Wikipedia, the T-28A Trojan was a USAF trainer aircraft.  This model likely never saw combat, and was instead just used to teach Navy and Air Force pilots how to fly.  That's a much cheaper idea than all those F-22s I destroyed learning to fly.

It left after circling around a few times, so we sat outside and watched the rabbits while enjoying the warm weather.  I got some pics of Jonathan and Marci; I still had the telephoto lens on, so the field of view even at 70mm (the widest it would go) was pretty narrow.

Incoming Bogey

I was out working in the yard when I heard a plane overhead.  It looked interesting so I grabbed my camera.  Sure enough, he came around for a couple more passes, but never did get quite as close as the first time.

Here's the best I could do to get a profile shot:

I got a pretty decent one as he flew overhead:

I'm not entirely sure what kind of plane it is, nor what it was doing buzzing around that morning. If anybody knows, let me know.
