Lazy Saturday

Saturday before last was a pretty easy one.  I mowed the yard in the morning while Marci and Jonathan got groceries.  After that, the only thing we had left to do was get the oil in Marci's car changed.  She left to do that so Jonathan and I took advantage of the pretty day and played outside. He swung in his swing, walked around on the deck, pulled dirt out of my potted plants, and played in the bird bath. (don't worry, I'd just cleaned and filled it after I finished with the yard)

Splashing.

He's still a little small to use his playset, but we decided to check it out anyway.  He likes the covered part up top, and really got a kick out of the steering wheel that these playsets all inexplicably seem to have.

Steering.

Once Mommy got home, we took some turns assisting Jonathan on the slide, picking him up and trying to keep him upright as he slid down.  That gets tiring quick, but he really likes it.

Sliding.

Then, under his mother's supervision (seriously, check the timestamps - these pictures are after the one where she's holding him on the slide), he decided that just playing with the plants' potting soil wasn't enough:

Snacking.

Smirking.

What a handful!  But we got him cleaned up and had some more fun.  I'm so glad that it's finally cooling off down here so we can spend some time outside.
