Sunday Lunch

June 14, 2009 at 2:24 PMJeremy

The rest of the family was either out of town or busy with vacation bible school stuff, so we were on our own for Sunday lunch, a break from a very long-running tradition.  This is one of only a few Sundays that I can remember having to forage for ourselves.

Still, I think we managed okay.

Oil-Eating Bacteria Found In China

June 12, 2009 at 3:30 PMJeremy

Source here.

Scientists have recently discovered a microbe that will "eat" the hydrocarbons in oil, which may someday help clean up oil spills.  The bacteria was actually discovered in the Daqing oil fields in China.  For those who don't know, here's what the Daqing oil fields look like:

Scenic Panorama.

Ah, I remember pistol-sniping many a foe from the top of those oil cisterns.  Oftentimes after being shot down while riding co-pilot with my flyboy brother.

Mother's Day

Yeah, yeah.  Behind on the pictures and all that.

We went to Mom's house for Mother's Day lunch - food, family, and fun.

If you think I look funny, check out the weirdos behind me.

Wagon Ride

May 29, 2009 at 7:22 PMJeremy

Mimi got a new red wagon at her house, and she and Papa took turns pulling him around the yard in it.  I think they got tired before Jonathan did, so Papa hitched it to the back of the lawn mower and pulled him around that way.  That's not a bad idea: maybe if I had a riding mower, I could both entertain Jonathan and get the yard mowed.  Hmmm...

Isn't somebody going to pull me?

That was fun!

Happy Rider.

Random Jonathan

Just a few cute pics for Friday:

Easter Jonathan.

Yes, I know it's over a month old.  I was lazy and let a lot of pictures fill up in my camera, and each day it became more daunting to find time to sit down and sort through them in Lightroom.

New Friend.

One Sunday at Nana's house, Jonathan noticed my Papa's stuffed deer head.  Now he looks for it every time we're over there.  I'm not sure if he understands what it is, but he does like to look and pet it.

Trapped.
